Welcome to Stuart Francis Professional Independent Gardener

I have  been a self-employed sole and lead gardener for over ten years, providing a full professional garden maintenance service to a select number of clients. From small town gardens to country estates. Covering all aspects of horticulture, from growing vegetables and training wall grown fruit,

too hand weeding and pruning and training roses for maximum flower.

During this period, I have undertaken a number of garden development projects. I have been in a wonderful position of developing gardens for clients, to fit in with their life style, which fit within the wider landscape, harmonises with the house and use plants in an ecological and natural way to provide year round interest, structure and flowers.

I have been developing gardens, for over five years. This type of project uses the under laying history of the garden, existing features and mature plant material. I then introduce new plant material to settle the garden into the surrounding landscape and harmonises with the house which it surrounds.

I use the mantra of right plant, right place, matching the plant to the growing conditions and using plant families which grown and thrive together. I use native plants which grow in the local area, with none native plants which will work together in the long term, with minimum input from the gardener.
